Sde Releases "Ccss Talking Points For Principals And Teachers"
As part of the CT State Department of Education’s ongoing efforts to assist districts in the implementation of Connecticut's Common Core State Standards, it has released PowerPoint slides with “CCSS Talking Points for Principals and Teachers" to use during open houses, parent conferences, or in September school newsletters.
The PowerPoint, which can be accessed at http://casci.ac/742, contains:
- 9 slides with general information on the history, rationale, and instructional shifts in ELA and Math standards
- 1 slide related to Literacy Standards for Social Studies, Science and the Technical Subjects
- 1 blank slide for schools/districts to add information on local CCSS implementation efforts
