The Student Activity Division of CAS is pleased to announce that an inaugural State Robotics Championship for high school teams will be held at the Hartford Armory on May 11, 2013.

CAS is pleased to partner with Connecticut FIRST, a recognized leader in robotics competitions. Registration is open to high school teams who have built a robot within the FIRST Robotics Competition.

Attention: High School Robotics Teams, registration is open for the inaugural Connecticut State Robotics Championship at the Hartford Armory on Saturday, May 11th.

The event will be a one-day tournament generally following the FIRST Robotics field competition model, plus an award given to the team that best represents the values of FIRST.

Holding a statewide robotics competition following the FIRST model fits in with promoting sportsmanship, teamwork, integrity, and the CAS mission. This event will be a "sport for the mind" that will groom participants to be future tech savvy, productive workers in the fields of science, tech, engineering and mathematics.
