School Entered Directions DIRECTIONS TO WOODLAND REGIONAL HIGH SCHOOL From Points north of Beacon Falls: *Take Route 8 South. Get off at Exit 24 (Beacon Falls). At the end of the exit ramp, take a right. You are on Main Street in Beacon Falls (or Old Route 8). *Go through three traffic lights, cross over the concrete bridge that spans the Naugatuck River and proceed to the stop sign. On your right will be Pinesbridge Industrial Park; on your left will be Rimmon Hill Road. *Proceed through the stop sign. You will pass the Ideal Company on your right. The entrance to Matthies Park and Woodland Regional High School is on the left, about 200 feet past the Ideal Company and approximately ¼ mile past the stop sign. *Take a left onto Back Rimmon Road and turn right into the WRHS driveway. Parking is located in front of the school and also to the right of the school. To go to the gym, pool and athletic fields, bear right as you come up the driveway and use the side entrance at the top of the staircase to enter the building. From Points south of Beacon Falls: *Take Route 8 North. Get off at Exit 23 (Beacon Falls). At the end of the exit ramp, take a left. You are on Main Street in Beacon Falls and about a mile away from WRHS. *Cross over the concrete bridge that spans the Naugatuck River and proceed to the stop sign. On your right will be Pinesbridge Industrial Park; on your left will be Rimmon Hill Road. *Proceed through the stop sign. You will pass the Ideal Company on your right. PENT FIELD RECREATION COMPLEX (A.K.A. - THE REC) From Points North of Beacon Falls: *Take Route 8 South to Exit 24 – Beacon Falls. At the end of the ramp, bear right. You will be on Main Street (also known as “old Route 8”.) *Proceed through the traffic light and take your first right on to Depot Street. Depot Street begins at the iron bridge that spans the Naugatuck River. *At the end of the bridge, bear right. You are on Lopus Road. Follow Lopus Road over the bridge that spans the railroad tracks. Bear left at the end of the bridge and continue on Lopus Road. (The road winds gently.) *Cross over the bridge that spans Route 8. At the stop sign at the end of the bridge, turn left. You will see a sign at the intersection that reads “Recreation Complex.” *Take your first right on to Pent Road. (There will be another sign.)Follow Pent Road. CAUTION: the road is narrow and has sharp curves. The Recreation Complex is about 5 tenths of a mile down Pent Road on the right. *Turn right into the drive and park. The soccer field and softball fields are off the parking lot. From Points South of Beacon Falls: *Take Route 8 North to Exit 23 – Beacon Falls. There will be a light at the end of the ramp. Turn right. *Follow the road toward the center of Beacon Falls. Look for the Old Mill Condo Complex on your right. Almost directly across from this complex is Depot Street. (Its landmark is an iron bridge) Turn left at the division in the road before the light. *At the end of the bridge, bear right. You are on Lopus Road. Follow Lopus Road over the bridge that spans the railroad tracks. *Bear left at the end of the bridge and continue on Lopus Road. The road winds gently. Cross over the bridge that spans Route 8. *At the stop sign at the end of the bridge, turn left.
