School Entered Directions TORRINGTON High School - Football,Track,Softball,Soccer,Sub-varsity Baseball Rt. 8 North, at the end of the ramp go straight, at the next traffic light turn left onto Rt. 4, go under Rt. 8 and take your first right onto Kinney St. Follow to stop sign and turn right onto Winthrop St. Go under Rt. 8 and take a left into the high school. Middle School - sports Rt. 8 North to exit 44, at the end of the ramp turn right onto East Main St., follow up the hill for several traffic lights, turn left onto Rt. 183 North – gas station, Hill Top Restaurant, Walmart on the corner, follow 183 north and take your second right onto East Pearl Rd., follow past softball field and cemetery and turn left into the Middle School, Baseball field is on the right. Toro Field - Softball (night) Rt. 8 North, exit 42, at the end of the ramp take a left an over Rt. 8, bear right onto S. Main St. towards Torrington, go past Iffland Lumber, Carvel, turn right onto Palmer Bridge St. – Gas Station on the corner, go over bridge turn right onto Perkins St., turn right onto Davis Passway, Toro Fields are straight ahead. Fuessenich Park - Baseball (varsity only - afternoon/evening) Sub varsity @ H.S. unless otherwise indicated Rt. 8 to exit 44, at the traffic light take a left onto Rt. 202/East Main St., follow East Main St. and take a left at the 4th traffic light onto S. Main St. The Torrington Downtown Shopping Center is on the left, follow S. Main St. past the shopping center and take a left onto Coe Place – Fuessenich Park is straight ahead. Babe Ruth / Oak Avenue Field - Fr. & JV Baseball (possible)only when indicated on schedule Rt. 8 North, exit 43, take a left at the bottom of the ramp, go underneath Rt. 8 at stop sign go straight at the next stop sign take a left onto Oak Ave. go through one stop sign and the field is on the left. Torrington Country Club - Golf Take Rt. 8 North to exit 44. At end of the ramp go across the main road (202) east main st. At the next traffic light (approx.75 yds.) take a left. This is now Rt. 4 West. Stay on Rt. 4 west for about 6 1/2 miles. The Country Club will be on your left. SWIMMING - Boys/Girls Directions to the Torrington YMCA: From South of Torrington: Take Rt. 8 North. Get off at exit 44. Take left at end of exit onto E. Main St. (Rt. 202). Proceed to the third traffic light to the center of town. Stay in middle lane and proceed through light and cross Main St. onto Water St. Take right at first light (one block) onto Prospect St. YMCA will be about 100 yards on your left. Take first left directly past Y for parking. From North of Torrington: Take Rt. 8 South. Get off at exit 44. Go straight through light at the end of the exit. Take next right (one block) at light onto E. Main St. Follow above directions. From East of Torrington: Take Rt. 44 until West branch of Farmington River. Do not continue on Rt. 44 but go straight over river onto Rt. 202. Follow Rt. 202 directly into Torrington. Once in Torrington, Rt. 202 becomes E. Main St. At the bottom of the hill you will pass under Rt. 8. Follow above directions. top |
